Fran-P "Noel Pancho"

So much can happen in three months. Bonds are formed, relationships begin and soon fizzle, and lives are changed forever. At least, that’s what happened to Boston-residing rapper Fran-P, who beautifully captures the three most influential months of his teenage years in his gripping new video for, “Noel Pancho.” The visuals were handled by director M. Watkins and his team, who used the song’s lyrics as their guide. P certainly paints a picture with his words on “Noel Pancho,” taking the listener along on his trip to visit his family in Santo Domingo at the age of 15, where he explores his Dominican heritage, and experiences the cultural nuances from the viewpoint of a first generation American. However, his words are made that much more powerful through the animated lens of Watkins. When Fran-P opens up about assimilating to a new culture, playing in the rain, chillin’ under the stars with his grandfather, or experiencing that “good ol’ teenage love” for the first time, you feel as if you were there, too. That’s particularly true when his visit comes to a close, but we won’t spoil that moment. “Noel Pancho” is featured on Fran-P’s most recent full length project, ‘Pancho,’ which dropped this past May, and is available on iTunes and all other major digital retailers through AR Classic Records.
